Poison
TW: S.A. and Self Harm
Can you imagine going back Before the pain, before the lies Before you took your liberty In the space between my thighs. Before the blood stains Turned into the scars That line my arms and legs Before the burns from cigars. Poison courses through my veins But I can't suck it out Instead it festers underneath Allowing the parasite to sprout. Now, as I look in the mirror I see the darkness peeking through The snake behind my eyes Readying it's venom to spew. Refusing to cower Even one moment more Holding my head high Preparing for war. I'll hold you tight by your neck Regurgitate the venom you left When you destroyed my innocence, The worst kind of theft.
